Hallur Danielsen, Magnus Joensen and Rógvi Helmsdal from Smyril Blue Water’s office in Torshavn met the busses upon arrival
The city council of Torshavn on the Faroes will be putting 14 new city busses into service in the beginning of June 2011.
Upon ordering the busses, Smyril Blue Water was naturally contacted regarding transport from Denmark to the Faroes.
Smyril Blue Water is sole freight operator for the M/S Norröna which services the North Atlantic. The super ferry is tailormade for Ro/Ro transport, having a capacity of 36,000 ton of cargo and 1,800 loading meters.
In Hirtshals, the busses were loaded onboard Norröna and upon reaching the Faroes, safely unloaded and delivered to the city council.
